Name: Neighborhood Vitality and Beautification Grant program
Display Field: CONTACTNAME
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon
Description: This feature class contains all neighborhood associations that have registered with Neighborhood Services, which means that these associations are eligible for NS programs. It includes voluntary and mandatory homeowners' associations (HOAs), neighborhood associations (NA), neighbor groups (NG), multi-family (MF), and condo associations (CA). This feature class has replaced the HomeOwnerAssociation feature class. This layer also indicates any registered neighborhoods that are part of the Neighborhood Vitality and Beautification Grant (NVBG) program, and it is also related to a separate table that shows when each neighborhood participated in that program. As of May 2025, the BEST Neighborhoods team will be updating and maintaining this data on an ongoing basis through an editing application on AGOL.Although Crime Watch Areas are technically registered neighborhoods as well, those are stored in the CrimeWatchAreas feature class in the PublicSafety dataset and are maintained by Public Safety with help from the GIS team.

Description: This stand-alone table serves as the related table to the RegisteredNeighborhoods FC in the Neighborhood dataset. The table shows all registered neighborhoods that participate or have participated in the Neighborhood Vitality & Beautification Grant program and when they participated (called cycles). The data was provided by Wendy Mora in November 2024 before she left the City of Plano and the BEST Neighborhood team will be updating and maintaining the data in both the feature class and the stand-alone table on an ongoing basis. Extra information on NVBG exists on Zoomgrants, which NS uses to store all documentation and it allows users to input their volunteer hours, etc.
