This feature class contains all public, private, charter, daycare/preschool, and higher education schools primarily in the city of Plano. It also includes some higher education schools outside of the city limit (total 17 schools) and also there are several schools within the Plano ISD that fall outside of the city limit (total 12 schools).<\/SPAN><\/P>

The schools feature class has the following fields to help categorize the data:<\/SPAN><\/P>

  • School_Category<\/SPAN>: <\/SPAN>Public<\/SPAN>, <\/SPAN>Private<\/SPAN>, <\/SPAN>Charter<\/SPAN>, <\/SPAN>Higher Education<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI>

  • School_Type<\/SPAN>: <\/SPAN>Daycare/ECS <\/SPAN>(ECS = Early Childhood School/preschool), <\/SPAN>Elementary<\/SPAN>, <\/SPAN>Middle<\/SPAN>, <\/SPAN>High School<\/SPAN>, <\/SPAN>Senior High<\/SPAN>, <\/SPAN>Combined <\/SPAN>(school serves multiple School_Types), <\/SPAN>College/University<\/SPAN>, <\/SPAN>Trade/Technical<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI>
