For Collin County, this number used to be a way to be identified at the appraisal district, beginning with an 'R', and our Parcels are still matched to this value quarterly in January, April, July, and October, until Clariti replaces Trakit as the new software.
In 2025, CCAD dropped the TAXID possibility and defaulted to the GEO ID, which is the TAXID value but with hyphens added to break up the components of the value.
For Denton County, this value is simply the old Landkey number with a 'D' in front of it (similar in format to the CCAD numbers), but has no value at the appraisal district. Once Clariti is in place, the TAXID will be obsolete and the taxroll matching process will no longer use this field but use the AppraisalKey field which will contain both counties' GEO IDs.

This is a number that identified it in HTE. Obsolete since December 2015, however new values were still being created up to June 2025 to keep consistency of data, but no longer updated or created since then. This number may still be useful in identifying certain information regarding the parcel. The first 4 digits contain the Land, or ADDITIONNUMBER, that was assigned, the next 3 digits contain the block of the lot, the next 3 digits contain the lot number, with the final 2 digits ending with 1 representing Collin County, or 2 for Denton County.
Parcels that cannot be matched to an existing TAXID (or are unnecessary to be) may have one of the following values:
ROWROWROWROW - now right-of-way, but in the absence of a parcel, may incorrectly appear to be a sliver. Usually adjoining a TXDOT or NTTA right-of-way parcel.
RWRWRWRWRWRW - formerly right-of-way, but is now either abandoned officially or is publicly owned land now being used as open space rather than a thoroughfare.
RUUUUUUUUUUU - a drainage channel that does not have a platted lot and block
R(or D)000000000000 - landscape parcels, usually platted without a lot and block, but can be in private ownership or public. This is not public street right-of-way, but may appear to be so. The appraisal district often does not assign a TAXID to these strips.

A domain (LR_PlatStatus) choice field with the following values: Not Platted = No recorded plat known to exist. This includes subdivisions that might seem to be platted but are not, namely, Original Donation, Portman Addn, and Reed Addn. The extent of the parcel may have been created using the tax maps at the Appraisal districts for the subdivisions listed above, but the remaining extents will likely follow crude boundaries from the Appraisal geometries that will only have reference to deed records.
Recorded = A valid recorded plat exists at the respective County, that covers the parcel extent. Not Recorded = rare instances where the parcel extent may have been platted, but no known recording of the plat is able to be found or available
PZ Approved* = up to Jan 2025, parcel extents covered by an Approved plat (by P&Z) were edited in GIS and may still be valid or unable to be removed from GIS. Since then, new approvals (not including re-approvals) have been entered into a separate layer instead called Parcels_Approved. The associated PLATSTATUSDATE will be the date from the approval stamp. Note that this approval may be overriding an existing Recorded or Not Platted status.
Staff Approved* = same as PZ Approved above, except that the plat was approved by a Planning staff member.
*Over time, the PZ Approved and Staff Approved parcel extents will diminish as they become recorded or are systematically researched and removed.

ADDITIONNUMBER is the City of Plano's subdivision number for platted property (or sometimes described elsewhere as LAND number), meaning that all lots within the same subdivision plat name should have the same number (and made up the first four numbers of the now obsolete LANDKEY).
Numbers are assigned as follows: 1) Numbers 1 thru 2000 are original Residential subdivision names 2) Numbers 2001 thru 6000 are original Non-Res subdivision names. Land not platted will have a value of '0' (unless a Residential subdivision number was created for Laserfiche purposes, such as Original Donation)- the Landkey however should have a range between 6001 and 7999 which directly relate to CCAD's abstract numbers used for their TAXIDs.

Residential lots = Residential and NonResidential lots = NonResidential. Where we have unplatted parcels or we do not have any images stored for the parcel then choose No Plans.
Other = images stored in other project types such as Street Dedications, or some other source deed described in the entry.

For a NonResidential lot, this is a unique number, but for Residential lots this is the same as the AdditionNumber, minus any leading zeros.
This number's main purpose is to distinguish where to deposit images for this lot into Laserfiche, as technically each lot could redevelop separately and have its own set of plans come in in the future. To avoid duplication, many numbers may not contain images in Laserfiche, as common images for multiple lots will be stored under the project number that relates to the LOWEST LOT on that plat. For example, if a set of plans come in that relate to lots 2R, 6, and 7 in a subdivision, this set would be deposited into the number for 2R, whatever that might be, rather than having 3 copies of plans over 3 project numbers which would unnecessarily increase the storage capacity of Laserfiche. (This field used to be called ProjectNumber but was changed in 2025 to match the name of the template field name in Laserfiche so that it could be searched more easily.)

Parcels are intended to have the geometry that is shown on the recorded plat (and Approved plats prior to June 2025), but when the appraisal district splits land for reasons not associated with the platted extent, we match their geometry, as there are likely different tax records and owners for each shape.
Our attributes must display when these deviate from the platted extent and this field value tells us the reason why that is.
The default value of 'No' means that it should match the platted extent but the other domain choice values are: Deed, Duplex, or Other. This field can be amended as parcels are discovered to be 'split' or after analysis of CCAD parcel boundaries during each quarterly tax roll matching process. This field combines tax identifiers from Collin and Denton counties into a single field. Collin County parcels will contain the Property ID (PROP_ID) from the CCAD data and Denton County parcels will have the DCAD data value of geoID. The field will eventually be used as the sole matching field with the tax data, but in the interim the TAXID field is used to match tax records - once TRAKiT is obsolete then the TAXID field will be of no value. It is possible to have duplicate values in this field since there are some descriptive values rather than IDs, and instances where our parcels and the tax records don't match for a while, such as when one lot at CCAD may be broken up into 100 parcels in our data in advance of the recorded plat.
